by Milosz Szalczynski, on June 29, 2018
STEP ONE: GO TO NINJARMM POLICIES
Choose the relevant policy for the devices you want to ensure have a specific piece of software installed.
STEP TWO: WITHIN THE POLICY SETTINGS, GO TO CONDITIONS
From here, click on 'add a condition', and it will bring up a pop up box with options.
STEP THREE: CLICK ON SELECT A CONDITION
STEP FOUR: A DROP DOWN MENU WILL APPEAR
STEP FIVE: SELECT SOFTWARE
The drop down menu will show a presence box (you can select that the condition will check if a software doesn’t exist or already exists on a device) and you need to add in a name tag for the action; click save.
The next drop down menu has options so that you can add in a Display Name and the Reset Interval for the condition. You can also choose whether you want to send notifications, with a severity and priority level and if you want to add a ticket using your PSA integration.
STEP SIX: CLICK ADD AN ACTION
The next drop down menu shows all actions you can choose from.
STEP SEVEN: SELECT INSTALL APPLICATION
Here you can select the Architecture, add in the Upload File, a Name, the MSI or EXE URL for the download, you can also add in Parameters for command line functions and you can also choose whether you want to run as System or as the Current User.
That concludes our walk-through guide on NinjaRMM and the adding software function. Follow those steps and you’ll be on your way to adding software to help you and your clients.
